Reflections for “His Friends Call Him Bud: About the Buddha’s Story”

by | Oct 21, 2023 | Buddhism.net Blog

The post titled His Friends Call Him Bud: About the Buddha’s Story is now up on Buddhism for All. Angela from the Buddhism.net team reflected on it, and invites you to do so too.

🌕 Angela’s Reflections:

The deepest inspiration is that Buddha was a human being. And this human mind we possess has the potential of a fully awakened Buddha mind. In fact, a mind with ignorance is called a human being. And a mind free of ignorance and defilements, is called a Buddha. This realization brings great empowerment because while the problems come from within my mind, the deepest solution also come from within my mind.

🌱 Journal Reflection Prompts for You:

  • 📝 Do you fundamentally believe that you can experience freedom from all suffering as a human being? Why or why not?

  • 📝 Share a personal moment of transcending limitations or overcoming challenges. How might this ability to transcend be connected to the potential for every human mind to attain enlightenment?

  • 📝 Recall a recent problem or challenge you faced. How did you approach its resolution? How might you look inward for solutions in the future, rather than seeking external fixes?
