You don’t have all day to learn the Dharma? How about one minute-ish?

My name is Meng, and I have a confession: I don’t like reading books. That was how I became an international bestselling author: I wrote books that even I was willing to read. So, for those of you who prefer to learn the Dharma by watching videos rather than by reading, yeah, I totally get you.

Our team surveyed the video landscape. We found many long videos on the Dharma (around 20 minutes or longer), and many very short videos (lasting only a few seconds, usually just one person speaking a single verse). It was very hard to find short videos (around one or two minutes) that taught meaningful Dharma. So we decided to try making them ourselves. How hard could it be, right? We soon realized why nobody else was making them: it turned out to be really hard to keep videos short, if you want to deliver meaningful and important content, in a way that is interesting to watch. Then again, I grew up in Google, and during the early days of Google, we liked to say to ourselves, “Just because something is impossible doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it.”

So, we started on a journey to produce a video series we’re naming, “Dharma in a Minute-ish”. We have produced two videos to start:

We hope you’ll find them tremendously useful. With your moral support, we will strive to keep making more.
