We are delighted to share the recording of Episode 14 of Vibe with Venerables, where we get to talk “live” to Buddhist masters together.

Venerable Chonyi discusses the transformative power of compassion, emphasizing its roots in empathy and kindness. She explains that compassion arises from empathy and the recognition of the suffering of others. Compassion is the wish to free living beings from suffering. She further elaborates on the Dalai Lama’s statement that kindness is the root of immeasurable compassion.

Venerable Chonyi uses stories and examples to illustrate how compassion arises from our innate human response to others’ suffering. She highlights the importance of cultivating compassion through meditation and understanding the interdependence of all beings.

The episode concludes with a Q&A, addressing practical applications of compassion and its relationship with wisdom and personal growth.
