We are delighted to share the recording of Episode 13 of Vibe with Venerables, where we get to talk “live” to Buddhist masters together.

What is the “it” in “What’s love got to do with it?” Venerable Chonyi answers that question: the “it” refers to happiness. She suggests that happiness is the fundamental driver behind seeking love. The basic drive for happiness is recognized as a common trait among all living beings, from the smallest to the most powerful.

Venerable Chonyi then led a meditation session on cultivating immeasurable love, emphasizing the importance of happiness and the interconnectedness of all beings. She guided participants through visualizations and wishes for happiness, starting with oneself, friends, and eventually extending to strangers and all living beings.

After engaging the audience with Q&A, Venerable Chonyi concluded with a dedication to the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, highlighting the transformative power of loving-kindness and the potential for universal love.

This session includes a guided meditation, opening prayers, a Dharma talk, and a Q&A, which emphasizes the practical applications of cultivating love in daily life, as exemplified by the Dalai Lama.
