Reflections for “How to Stop a Bomb”

by | Nov 5, 2023 | Buddhism.net Blog

The post titled How to Stop a Bomb is now up on Buddhism for All. Angela from the Buddhism.net team reflected on it, and invites you to do so too.

🌕 Angela’s Reflections:

In the face of overwhelming challenges, sometimes the solution can be surprisingly simple and unexpected. Life’s complexities might just have a “pull the plug” moment, showing that answers can come from the most unforeseen places. Serious problems sometimes can have amazingly simple solutions.

How can we access the wisdom in us to look for the right solutions? One way to access creativity and wisdom is to stop and look, with an open expanded awareness, finely tuned into the present moment. That’s why Meng was able to say “pull the plug!” as he had that level of open expanded awareness to see the full picture.

🌱 Journal Reflection Prompts for You:

  • 📝 How might humor, joy and simplicity be useful perspectives when navigating tough situations?

  • 📝  Have you ever overcomplicated a problem in your life, only to find out that the solution was simpler than you thought?
