Starting Practice with Guided Meditation

by | Jul 15, 2024 | Buddhism.net Blog

Friends,

What really changed my life was not learning Buddhism, it was practicing Buddhism.  It started with mindfulness practice. My mind became calmer, my physical health improved, I became better at managing emotions, and most importantly, I finally learned to be happy. I was liberated from severe, long-term depression. My heart overflowed with gratitude for the Buddha.

With the practice, the teachings of the Buddha began to make more and more sense. The practice reinforced my understanding of the Dharma, and that understanding in turn informed my practice. It was a beautiful virtuous cycle. In Buddhism, learning and practice always support each other.

Now that all of Buddhism for All has been posted on Buddhism.net (you’re welcome), it is time for us to take the next natural step: practice.  And yes, on that, we have you covered too (you’re welcome again). Over the next few weeks, we will take a tour of some essential meditation practices. We will see you over at our social media accounts if you’d like to follow along: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn.
