Here is the recording of Episode 22 of Vibe with Venerables, where we get to talk “live” to Buddhist masters together.

Venerable Monlam teaches the transformative power of equanimity. She reflects on the potential of carrying the attitudes of love, compassion, joy, and equanimity into daily life. She also explains the concept of karma and its role in maintaining a balanced mind. She further emphasizes the importance of equanimity in maintaining a balanced mind and reducing suffering, and explains the near enemy of equanimity as indifference and the far enemy as afflictions like attachment and anger.

The dialogue with Venerable Monlam also includes challenges of equanimity in personal relationships, such as dealing with anger towards others and the difficulty of detaching from loved ones. Venerable Monlam shares personal anecdotes to illustrate these points.

The teaching begins with refuge prayers and a short guided meditation and ends with dedication of merit.
