We are delighted to share the recording of Episode 06 of Vibe with Venerables, where we get to talk “live” to Buddhist masters together.

Bhante Shravasti Dhammika introduces “Anussati”, a type of meditation often overlooked in favor of Vipassana and mindfulness. He explains that anussati means remembering or calling to mind, or contemplating something.

Bhante lists several anussati: Buddhānussati (recollecting the Buddha), Dhammānussati (recollecting the Dharma), Saṅghānussati (recollecting the Sangha), Silānussati (recollecting virtue), Cāgânussati (recollecting sharing), Devatânussati (recollecting devas), Upasamānussati (recollecting peace), Maraṇānussati (recollecting death) and even Kalyāṇamittatānusatti (recollecting good friends or spiritual friends).

He emphasizes the importance of balancing these recollections and integrating them into daily life, suggesting they can help bring peace and joy.

This session includes a Dharma talk, and a live Q&A with participants.
