Help These Nuns Take Meng’s Money

by | Feb 22, 2024 | Buddhism.net Blog

Dear friends,

This is Meng. Please help these Buddhist nuns take my money. See how below.

Buddhist nuns generally have to work much harder than monks because they generally receive less financial support.

This community of nuns in California has only one truck, which is now old and beyond repair. It has become a great hindrance to essential needs such as transporting fuel to power the hermitage (because they have no electrical lines), etc. As if five hindrances are not enough, these friends have a 6th.

Some friends have already raised SGD (Singapore dollars) 23,256. They only need about SGD 20,000 (US$ 14,500+) more. To help them reach the finish line, I will match your donations to the Aranya Bodhi Hermitage, dollar for dollar, up to SGD 10K. (As a bonus, I’ll even suggest to them to name their new truck “Mahayana”.)

Details on how to donate and more about the hermitage situation can be found here:

For those of you in the US who like to donate directly to them, just send me a receipt, and I’ll match. You can email me at my personal email address: [email protected].

Thank you, friends.
