Reflections for “Abbot’s Commentary: Mindfulness is Relevant Always”

by | Feb 1, 2024 | Buddhism.net Blog

The post titled Abbot’s Commentary: Mindfulness is Relevant Always is now up on Buddhism for All. Angela from the Buddhism.net team reflected on it, and invites you to do so too.

🌕 Angela’s Reflections:

Buddhist monk, Ajahn Sumedho explains awareness here and now: “the Buddha encouraged us to take our abiding place in awareness, mindfulness, conscious awareness here and now, because that’s where we experience life. When you really investigate time, you really begin to break down the belief in a future and a past, because experience is always here and now, whatever is happening.”

When mindfulness became hugely globally popular about ten years ago, Buddhist monk Ajahn Brahm gave a talk on a deeper perspective of mindfulness
