Reflections for “Where Do You Draw the Line on the Aggregates?”

by | Oct 31, 2023 | Buddhism.net Blog

The post titled Where Do You Draw the Line on the Aggregates? is now up on Buddhism for All. Angela from the Buddhism.net team reflected on it, and invites you to do so too.

🌕 Angela’s Reflections:

All lines we try to draw are only fabrications, contrived, conceptual and artificially dualistic. Ultimately, we want to understand suffering, abandon the causes of suffering, cultivate the path leading to the freedom of suffering, and directly realize freedom from suffering, or what is collectively known as the four noble truths.

🌱 Journal Reflection Prompts for You:

  • 📝 Are there areas in your life where you draw artificial lines or boundaries? Would it be beneficial to see them as more fluid or interconnected? How might this change in perspective affect your decisions or reactions?

  • 📝 Reflect if there are areas in your life where you might be grasping or clinging too tightly. How does this grasping contribute to discomfort or unhappiness? What could help you release grasping?
