The post titled Yes, Empiricism and Faith can Play Together is now up on Buddhism for All. Angela from the Buddhism.net team reflected on it, and invites you to do so too.
🌕 Angela’s Reflections:
It is healthy to remain skeptical as we investigate the truths or claims of Buddhism or Buddhadharma. However, if we do the practices diligently, eventually we will experience genuine realization, and a direct taste of truth as expounded by the Buddha. The ultimate type of learning is not from an external source, but our very own direct realization or direct taste of truth. Direct realization is the greatest faith. And this faith is unshakeable.
🌱 Journal Reflection Prompts for You:
- 📝 What is faith to you? How do you view the relationship between direct investigation and faith?
- 📝 In what areas of your life are you relying solely on faith?
- 📝 Reflect on a moment where doubt led you to a deeper understanding or a stronger conviction. How did that process unfold?
